MAP PAINTINGS by Andrea LaHue

Andrea LaHue aka Random Act is well loved for her map paintings.  They are personal, fun and have a contemporary, street art feel.  Originally used for the Cross Country Random Act Journey.  Maps were, of course, essential to figure out where she was going.  Further drawn to the colors, a deep sense of comfort maps provide as well as the busy wording and lines on maps, LaHue started painting on them.  Soon they were used for street art paste ups around Los Angeles and beyond, to uplift, beautify and inspire.  The map paintings are painted with spray, acrylic and house paint.
