Jane Fonda as Aphrodite
Aphrodite is known as the Greek Goddess of heavenly love, beauty and passion. Born of the foam of the sea, Aphrodite, because of her great beauty, was quickly married off by Zeus to the ugly, dull Hephaestus. Yet Aphrodite’s beauty was so great, she was known to consort with gods and men. She created Pandora, the first human woman, at Zeus’ request, and may be the cause of the Trojan War, when Paris chose her as the most beautiful goddess.
Jane Fonda is the living American icon who embodies the Greek Goddess Aphrodite. Leading by example Jane Fonda’s grace, beauty and passion have benefited the women and great feminine energies of our nation. A notable activist, led by her inner will and passion for peace, civil rights and environmental awareness. Jane Fonda has been a leader in personal well being, kicking off the wellness industry with her Jane Fonda Workouts. Sharing herself with us so intimately with her craft, humor, in interview after interview, we saw dimensions of a smart, intellectual, self aware woman.
